I only lifted the driver side front up to get under my car. Probably safer to use the jack stands if you have em. Make sure you are in neutral and on flat surface if you are gonna poke at the starter. You can crank the starter w/out a key in the ignition so if it is in gear it will move.
Replacing the starter is no fun and does require some not so common tools(e12 torx). I learnt my lesson...not gonna touch the starter thing again:-)
