Time to pull the 328is motor out!

There will be some parts I will not be using off the 328, so if you want to buy something let me know.

Today I will just change my auto pedal to 5 speed.

All the parts I need for the 5 speed pedals.

Now for the installation just reverse the process!

BAM! done.

Everything works except for the clutch pedal, it doesn't want to go back up when you push it down because I forgot how to set the clutch spring in place so I will figure that out later. I also bleed the clutch system now since it's easier with the motor out.

Looks good Thanh!

If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to use some of your photos for clarification in the next revision of my swap manual.

Please contact me via PM when you get a few minutes.

Talk to you soon!

PS the difference in the drive shaft length is huge because one car is an auto and the other is manual. If both cars had the same transmision, the driveshaft length would be much closer...

I was wondering how the driveshafts could be so different yet all our sideskirts are supposedly interchangable.

The side skirts ARE interchangeable...

I thought that picture might raise a few eyebrows and needed a bit of an explanation! (even though it's not my picture)

Today I started to take the EWS II system out of the 328 and out it in the 318Ti so that I don't have to worry about getting my EWS align.

I didn't take a picture of thw EWS II chip but it's located behind your glove box. It should be the last box at the bottom that says EWS I/II.

Started to paint my car parts. Here's the new Montego blue!

Quick question Phamster. This flange that your red arrow is pointing to. Is that flange already on your automatic 318ti?

All the flange/brackets/holes in the firewall is pre-install. You don't use them on the automatic but they're their if you ever want to do 5 speed.
