Mine is a hatch and the lights are awsome!! I really like the look.
But i respect the fact that some may not as i dont really like the look of some other ti's.

If so..Here are the 2 in the same point of view to compare better and leave the opinions!!

I think the E36 front more beautiful especially the front headlights the ones in the E46 looks like it have view glasses!!

what you ppl think?

Cant get a limited slip diff for an E46 unless you buy a quaiffe. And they are heavier too. Not much quicker at all. Look good apart from the headlights, I wouldnt bother though

Personlay i dont like the squarish lights its all too common on most veichles, i think the round lights give it a more unique look and look way better but i know most ppl have e36 so they will probably disagree which is fine every one is entitled to their own opinion, i have no major dislikes of the e36.
Only difference that i know of is that the e46 has a bit more hp and the interior is oviously more modern and nicer but i guess for the price differnece you get a lot for your doller buying an older model e36 for sure, since the body is basically the same apart from the front like you mentioned which is notacibly different.
What year model is your car 318ti pt?

Things I like most about the e46 compact..

325ti and Interior.
