"SATurday September 27th Autocross We're back at the Bowie Baysox Stadium in Bowie, MD for this event. Registration and tech inspection will be at 8:00 and will promptly close at 8:45 to try to accommodate the full field, while still giving 6 runs. You must be DONE by 8:45. So if you arrive at 8:00 you won't have a problem. Don't arrive at the last minute. If you don't get teched and registered by 8:45, you will lose your morning runs. The event fee for the SATurday autocross is $25 for members and $35 for non-members at this event. Reservations Member reservations (or participants that will join the club upon showing up) for any events can be made at any time (see Schedule Section at www.capitaldrivingclub.com ). Open reservations for non-members for this event begin Friday September 19th. Accepting New Members We will also be accepting new members at this event. Annual dues are $30 (12 months from the date you join the club). This event will be the last time in 2008 that we will be taking new members. We will be on a membership freeze until further notice (probably until May 2009). So if you are joining at this event, you may reserve your slot now. Just use “0” as your member number and type, “I will be joining the club at this event” in the Notes Section in on-line reservation system. Otherwise, non-members must wait until Friday September 19th to make your reservation." | | | 09-09-2008, 05:06 PM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Annapolis/College Park Posts: 337 | Word. Sounds like fun, and not that far away either. I've never auto-x'd before, so hopefully they have some sort of beginner class... __________________ She's no longer mine, but I gotta keep the pic Current euro: Black MkIII VW Gti VR6 | | | 09-09-2008, 06:45 PM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Odenton, MD Posts: 419 | Quote: Originally Posted by themightyquinn Word. My suggestion is to find someone to ride with you for at least the morning session. If I'm available, I'd be happy to do it. I'll get there nice and early to help anyone who wants to try. I'd love to get a few ti's out there. | | | 09-09-2008, 09:44 PM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Guys I don't mean to be a d-bag but can we keep this thread to people adding themselves to the list? I am actually very interested in autocrossing also, Gimp could you make a new thread about it? __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 09-11-2008, 07:01 AM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | I'll be back in town by then, but I don't know if I'll be able to make that or not yet. | | | 10-07-2008, 02:05 PM | #25 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Hanover, MD Posts: 4 | Hey all, I am fairly new to actually using this site and live in Hanover, MD (near the airport). It would still be cool if there was someone else from VA, so we could change the name from MAR to um, something else...until then, I guess I'm one of the MD guys. __________________ Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Turbos are great!...Especially the higher mileage m42's & m44's...A BUDGET setup should be good for atleast 400rwhp...I was running 60psi on stock internals and homemade parts... | | | | 10-07-2008, 07:09 PM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Bobby, just so you know, MAR stands for Mid Atlantic Region. Do you really think I would use a name that would exclude you? I got you covered. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 10-07-2008, 07:19 PM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Regensburg, Germany Posts: 584 | Ahhh, well dont I feel sheepish...Well, that works then! __________________ Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Turbos are great!...Especially the higher mileage m42's & m44's...A BUDGET setup should be good for atleast 400rwhp...I was running 60psi on stock internals and homemade parts... | | | | 10-07-2008, 07:27 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Raleigh/Charlotte, NC Posts: 1,233 | Charlotte, NC here..kinda mid-atlantic...ish... | | | 10-07-2008, 07:30 PM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Quote: Originally Posted by Xenocide Charlotte, NC here..kinda mid-atlantic...ish... | Psst >> http://www.318ti.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=56 __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
