Yes I still have the trailer hitch. It does not interfere with the spare tire at all.

Does the Msport rear bumper need to be cut for installation?

I doubt the m sport bumper would make a difference, but I cannot say for sure.

The hitch bolts onto the bumper strut mounts and then there is a tail bracket that fits between the spare tire and the exhaust heat shielding that bolts onto a cross member just forward of the spare tire. You will need to drill a hole in the cross member and two holes for additional backing in the bumper strut mounts. Your larger case diff might make the installation more difficult because it'll probably be hard to fit a wrench in there but it should not interfere with the hitch.

Edit: I just found the website with the instructions

looking at the pic below, do you still think it would fit? how close to the diff mount does it attach?

I don't remember exactly how close it got to the differential, you may want to look underneath the car and see how close your differential is to the cross member. From what I remember the tail bracket (around 20in long) slid up against the cross member between some brake lines and this was several inches before you got to the differential case.

my diff case is right at the front of the cross member and the diff cover may even extend under it below the cross member. i may have to try sliding under there. thanks for the info!
