There are two areas. One is the rear right fender area. Paint has been applied over it from the previous owner. The other is from some deep scratches by the top of the trunk that turned into rust. The scratches were there before I bought the car too. | | | 12-31-2007, 10:26 AM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: NY Posts: 156 | I am in Westchester I'll give you $3000 for it. I paid 4500$ for mine which has lower miles(80) and appears to be in better shape, but I want a 5spd andneed a second car. | | | 12-31-2007, 10:32 AM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: NY Posts: 156 | Actually after reading all the posts, I take it back- this car seems like a headache in the making, you obviously havent had it long and don't know much about it. And their are several issues with it already. This is a good car for someone who wants to throw 2 or 3 grand into. I want something mechanically sound, good luck though. | | | 12-31-2007, 10:35 AM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: NY Posts: 156 | PS this is the same car you were selling 8months ago correct? That had the thermosta problem and you were giving to your cousin?? | | | 12-31-2007, 02:32 PM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | Quote: Originally Posted by JoeyBello Actually after reading all the posts, I take it back- this car seems like a headache in the making, you obviously havent had it long and don't know much about it. I have a $700 dollar receipt for other work with it. $3000 is too low for me anyway so this car isn't for you. | | | 12-31-2007, 03:29 PM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | WORD __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 12-31-2007, 03:29 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | Quote: Originally Posted by thesk8nmidget i disagree completely. this is a low mile 97 ti with great interior decent exterior. i bet this car is more mechanically sound than a lot of ti's due to its low mileage. | Thanks dude. This car isn't perfect but I drive it to work 30 miles each way and 100 miles on the weekend. No issues besides that suspension thing which I would advise to have it looked at. | | | 12-31-2007, 03:33 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | i'd sure like to have it in my BMW stable...i like the Cali-top cars __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 12-31-2007, 03:35 PM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | Yeah, if I had the driveway space, I would not be selling it. I like the Cali-tops too. It's really nice to cruise NYC midtown with the top open. | | | 12-31-2007, 03:36 PM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | i'll bet __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 01-01-2008, 04:53 PM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Orange County, NY Posts: 1,067 | ALRIGHT PEOPLE. I'M ASKING THE MODS TO LOCK THIS THREAD. I AM PICKING UP MY CLUB SPORT TODAY AND A FRIEND OF MINE FROM WORK WILL BE BORROWING THE 97 FOR A FEW DAYS AT LEAST UNTIL HIS CAR GETS FIXED. I WILL BE ADJUSTING THE PRICE AS WELL, IN A WEEK OR SO, I WILL BE PUTTING UP A NEW THREAD REGARDING MY CAR. Happy New Years all, have a safe one. | | | 01-01-2008, 05:10 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Inappropriate posts removed. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
