I'm curious to see how this ties back into the frame to make any kind of major improvements. Kind of hard to commit to something without having any clue of what it looks like, or how it works. | | | 01-10-2008, 04:19 AM | #20 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | Quote: Originally Posted by mohaughn When is somebody going to come up with a picture of this thing? So what exactly is that connecting to in the front, and how would that increase rigidity? I don't think I've ever seen a strut bar of that type of design on any BMW track cars, and Ireland Engineering doesn't sell anything like that. Really need to know what it connects to at the front. | | | 01-10-2008, 06:48 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | believe it connects to the chassis or in a easy term the front bar right under the hood. right above the headlight housing. ill see if i can find a pic to demonstrate. if i remember right lazoh said it should connect around here: __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! Waste of time/money going further with this IMO. Like stated above, if IE isn't making/selling one, it probably doesn't do anything. Just my 2 cents, not bashing. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 01-10-2008, 08:22 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: LA, Bellflower, CA Posts: 3,613 | eh. i respect your opinion dusten so im not going against you or anything. and, well like i said; i dont know much, yet. still learning about how to modify cars good. but if it indeed doesnt do much in the end. at least it'll look nice. __________________ -Theta Chi- Float like a cadilac, sting like a BIMMER .... my socket is just too thick and won't fit in the hole! damnit! What I stated in the post is that the shop making the 4 point bar does most of the fabrications for Ireland's race cars.
