Now I just need to make the time to install them. I'll be back to the forum for installation advice. Thanks, Kitty! | | | 09-10-2017, 04:20 PM | #168 | Member Join Date: Sep 2017 Location: Los Angeles Posts: 50 | struggling with how to send a PM, but interested in the projector headlights, anything available? Really don't want to add rallyeart style orange ones. | | | 09-20-2017, 09:33 PM | #170 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: Germany Posts: 375 | SOLD! Do the leveling motors need to be wired in? Or can these directly replace stock E36 318ti headlights? Are there ballasts, etc? | | | 09-21-2017, 11:15 AM | #172 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: Germany Posts: 375 | Quote: Originally Posted by apexspeedtech Do the leveling motors need to be wired in? You need to wire in the connector plugs, however, since we have different headlight plugs than you guys stateside. I've also had some people buying connector kits (from Umnitza, for example) for ~20$ to put between their plugs and the headlights, instead of changing the wiring harness on the car. You can basically replace the headlights 1:1 with a connector kit, or, with a little more work, wire in the euro connector plugs (I could throw into the package for free). __________________ Want car parts? PM me for how to pay you and get this going! | | | 09-25-2017, 05:07 AM | #174 | Member Join Date: Dec 2012 Location: Mountain View, CA Posts: 47 | Received mine, packed nicely. The previous owner had done a hack-job HID conversion in ZKW housings. All the headlight adjusters were broken, and he cut off the original connectors. I didn't get any euro connectors in the box from Kitty, and I didn't want to wait for them to come from Germany again. I had already been pulled over twice by the same cop on the way home because one of my old ones was dead, and it wasn't the bulb. So I ordered this kit from Pelican that has the real screw on BMW connectors. http://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Inf...=5865.htm#tab1 ECS Tuning also had all these parts for a little cheaper (not in a kit) but shipping would have been slower. Anyway, make sure you get the euro connectors! If you need the pinout, it's here: http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...pse28a2b6a.jpg cheers, dug | | | 09-26-2017, 08:45 PM | #175 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2013 Location: Germany Posts: 375 | I would've loved to throw in a set of connectors for you, dug, but we were completely out of stock on them for weeks when I boxed up your headlights. I've made the mistake by selling the euro connectors to people who obviously purchased their euro headlights elsewhere and now needed the connectors to fit them into their cars, and before we had realized, we had run out of sets for our headlights. I'm currently back to stocking up on them though, so the next sets will definitely come with a set of euro connectors again. __________________ Want car parts? They look great and seem to work. During the installation I discovered that my car had an unused wire with a plug that fits the right daytime running light plug on the back of the headlight assembly. The running light turns on when the ignition is on. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a corresponding wire and plug on the left side (or tucked away anywhere else). Has anyone spliced in the original plugs that come with the euro lights? If so, how'd you go about doing it? Lamin-X is running their Black Friday Sale. I got in touch with them about which set to order for the ZKW Projectors I bought from @angelicmisskitty, but they were unsure. Anyone know which Lamin-X to buy? Do I get their US set, or their Ellipsoid set? | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
