Mine just arrived.
Opened it up, looks great.
Nice work guys.

I will be installing mine this weekend hopefully along with my 2.97 diff.
Looking forward to it.
This is a great improvement over that BS stock coil pack.
Top marks.
Thanks for making a batch up for us.

Cheers

UPDATE: I am 3/4 way through the install,,, had to cut it short due to diinner plans.
Just wanted to say so far very nice execution, great directions, well thought out.
I just have to bolt the coils down and plug them in.
The biggest PITA of the whole project so far was extricating the stock ignition bits. Much like that big intake snorkle thingy and the vacuum assisted fuel injectors Hans and Franz were not at their best on the day they designed that ignition wire routing scheme.

This COP conversion is going to be a major improvement.
I'll post a final tomorrow after I finish.
Cheers

COMPLETED INSTALL:

I completed my install yesterday, along with new plugs.
Car is running great.
I did a 120 commute drive this AM, car ran flawlessly.
Install very smooth, great instructions, good hardware, I cannot find fault with this kit in the least.
I did ADD one additional cable clamp and a few cable ties to really pretty up the install, but honestly my only complaint is that I didnt have time to remove my valve cover and bead blast it to make it look as nice as the new COP set up.

I will have to do that in the future. My valve cover is just a cosmoline mess.
Its tragic that they put so much of that crap on these cars.

Great job on the COP kit.
Cheers

I should also add that we shipped the first 5 harness group buy orders that we received.

If you ordered toward the end of the group buy it will take a little longer before your order ships.

We received a partial shipment of our harness parts order so we made as many harnesses as those parts could make. The remaining harnesses will ship once we rececive the rest of our group buy parts order.
How long does shipping to the UK take & when should I expect mine to arrive?

Got 2 parcels in the post today which got my hopes up but guess its too early to be watching my postbox!

Thanks

I'm not sure how UK customs inspectors are, but I've purchased things from the UK that have taken up to 25-30 days to receive. I'd say that the average is about 10-15 days. My record for int'l shipping was ordering something from Hong Kong on a Friday morning and receiving it at my door on Monday afternoon (and I only paid for standard shipping)!

Thank you for all the kind words and I'm glad you are liking the kits. The final harness parts have arrived for the rest of the kits and we'll complete those this weekend. I just shipped another 5 M42 kits so things have been busy. It looks like we will have the parts for an extra 2-3 harness kits, but at a slightly higher price as stated earlier. The cost on everything has gone up... both the individual components and the shipping costs.

Please note that after those 2 or 3 (qty TBD) single harnesses sell we will be going back to qty 10 group buys for this harness.

If anyone is interested in the next 2 harnesses you might want to start lining up. Note we will refund before buying the parts for any orders we can't fill.

Edited above with corrections.

Please note that this kit is an upgrade.

Just like a cat-back exhaust is an upgrade which costs more than stock replacement parts, this is an upgrade to your ignition system that adds performance. This kit costs as much (in a group buy) or slightly more when purchased in one of these rare single unit kits which don't offer as single purchases any longer.

We never did a back to back comparison on a dyno to compare the difference but our customers share a similar experience of improved throttle response to our COP kit.

The remaining group buy harnesses were built this weekend and will ship tomorrow.

For those of you that missed out on the group buy and are interested in a harness now we have qty 2 harness & COP kits available at $400 each.

Please ping rob@hqautosport.com if you are interested.

Otherwise, the next time we will be building these is when we have a qty 10 group buy.

Thanks to everyone that participated in the group buy. We appreciate your support.

The good news is that 2 M44 kits with the harness are currently available.

Each kit is priced only $20 more than the group buy we recently did.

It costs us way more in time to build theses harnesses vs what we sell them for.

This is the next best thing to waiting for the next group buy.
