That's good it's normally the ones that get all pissed about it that have issues about their identity. I'm inspired by your car it's super impressive to me and I wish you were local so I could hang out and learn a few things from your build and maybe cruise around with you or hang at the track.

Got the car weighed at scrutineering for drag racing tonight. Had street tires on this time with full street trim. Wasn't expecting to go tonight because of the weather, but I ended up going with the weather holding out till 9pm.

Car weighed 1275kgs / 2818lbs without fuel. I'll weigh it again next time I go stripped out.

Had 3 runs, only 2 time slips. The last one they stuffed up and couldn't find my time. It was unfortunate cause it was the best run.

Ran 12.8 1st
Ran 13.0 2nd
Ran ??? 3rd.

Still need to work on launching. The first run still had a 60" time of 2.2 seconds. The 2nd run was 2.4 lols.

Again, the BMW surprised many and received a number of compliments and positive feedback. They weren't really expecting a 318ti to beat many. The face on the first guy as he looked over as I passed him in his integra was priceless. He got a good start with a RT of .2 while mine was .6. Ran him twice before he decided to switch positions. The 3rd race I ran a late model RX7. Not sure if he ran into problems. He was pretty far behind when I crossed the line.

Hopefully have something better to report next time I go to the drags. Next drags is next week - 7 days time, unless it rains. Weather is also heating up. Will be interesting to see how much of a factor it will play.

More boost is coming in 9 days time. Car is due for an oil service. Will get it done along with the boost upgrade. Will keep you guys posted

Niceness.

What did you cross the line at?

Just for your information: My car has race seats and the rear interior stripped out. With me and fuel I weigh in at about 2750 pounds. (I weigh about 175) So the car w/fuel is 2575 pounds. Without fuel, be pretty close to 2500..

Nice bubela. That's some massive weight reduction. I don't think I'll get as low as that.

Trap speed was 115 and 116 mph for the first 2 runs.

Yeah man.. My first time was my best time. I haven't been back with my car cause it's never been ready for a full on assault! Hopefully that will be changing very soon.

13.777 @ 113.59 MPH
60' was 2.3 seconds..

Took the car in yesterday for boost increase. Got the spring changed, put it on the dyno and the dyno controller fell over. Couldn't tune the car. Stock spring got put back in. Looks like it will be after the new year when the car will go in again. This time for an ecu change over and a bunch of other goodies. Also thinking of swapping over to 105 octane fuel. Have to order the barrels tho. None of the service stations sell them.

The dyno controller fell over? What does that mean, it literally fell over and crashed to the ground?

Going to 105 octane? Will this car not see much daily driving? My buddy went to 105 on his car and rarely drives it. Seems like such a shame for such an awesome car!

It's the electronic control unit for the dyno. It pretty much wouldn't let the rollers roll. A new one is coming next week, but there won't be time to get my car done before the dyno day.

I won't be using my 3 series turbo for daily driving any more. It's just too loud and has no air con. We're just about to start summer so I don't think it will be coming out much, except maybe some nights. I've got a E39 528i Touring to get around with.

At another dyno day. Only difference today is warmer weather and an oil change. Picked up 277 rwkw on the dyno. Will post dyno sheet when I get home

Just popping in to say hi and give a lil update with what's happening in the near future.

New engine management is going in which will support sequential firing, so more power and better fuel economy while cruising on freeway. Also built into this unit is traction control There will be 3 settings off, dry and wet

Looking to install in the car in early October and out of the workshop 2-4 weeks later

Estimating over 300rwkw on MIA's dyno next time I go.
