Saved my life changing the air con micro filters. Knowledge Base also a great help in confirming how to change oil and plugs. As you can tell, I'm useless at DIY, but learning! Got fed up being ripped off by dealers. Just bought a year 2000 316i SE with the 1.9 litre M43TU engine. Makes ordering replacement stuff awkward because that engine was used in the E46 316i compact, too. EuroCarParts sent me the wrong air filter, but got it sorted out. I've had the car a week, and am going through all the bits. It was supposed to have had a full service by the (non - BMW) dealer before I took delivery. However, the oil was black, the plugs were probably 3 years old, the micro filters looked like the originals, and the air filter was about a year old. Doesn't inspire much confidance, so I'm going to look at EVERYTHING over the next few weeks. It's pretty much stock, on 16" multi spoke alloys. I'll get some photos up soon. Oh, and I'm in Scotland, near Dundee. Richard. | | | 03-25-2007, 01:16 AM | #153 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Yorkshire Posts: 151 | Welcome, glad you made it over - found the best compact website around here. __________________ E36/5 '95 318ti Auto. After all, I'm not really a 318ti owner, but this forum is just too good to miss. BTW, love your avatar! gotta go and wash the bimmer. | | | 03-25-2007, 10:21 AM | #155 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Essex UK Posts: 164 | Welcome Olic...... | | | 03-25-2007, 01:13 PM | #156 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: UK Posts: 197 | Welcome, I've only been a member for a short time, but this is a great place for Compact info! | | | 03-25-2007, 11:07 PM | #157 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: ipswich Posts: 656 | i wish i had 20" lol __________________ 318TI FOR SALE MESSAGE ME FOR MORE INFORMATION | | | 03-27-2007, 11:46 PM | #158 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: UK Posts: 4 | Evening all.
