The receiver has a bend that takes it up and level with the ground. It has it's short comings, since I can't open the hatch once the receiver/carrier is installed. Not that big a deal, I just make sure I have what I need in the hatch before I mount it. I'd like to see the swivel version you have, maybe it's new. Maybe I can buy just the receiver part and swap mine. They seem to be stationary vs. the expensive telescoping E36 washers. MUCH cheaper! ($30 for the pair @ Tisher) You could probably use a standard $17 windshield washer pump in the extra tank spot and wire it to come on with either the front or rear washer.
