He purchased it for the Z3M drivetrain a previous owner had installed. My plan was to install a M54 I had laying around and make it a nice daily driver. As I delved into the wiring harness, I discovered the PO had removed the 318ti body harness and installed the Z3M body harness and had made some questionable connections and repairs. I removed the entire Z3M harness and set about rebuilding the 318ti body harness I got with the chassis. My plan changed from daily driver to track car. This was June/July 2018. I worked on and off on the car and installed the repaired 318ti body harness Jan 2019. Come spring, the project suffered from scope creep and I was working on it less and less. Early fall 2019, I changed jobs and moved 2 hours away from my garage where I had been working on the car. Now it has been sitting and I can't get myself to start back on the project. I am trying to clear out the storage unit so I can end the lease. This is definitely a project, but I figured somebody might be interested in a free, clean title shell. I'm sure there is a demand for this so it doesn't have to be free. | | | 08-18-2020, 03:39 PM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2020 Location: Rock Hill, SC Posts: 4 | Doesn't roll. I would need to install at least the basic suspension components. At that point, I'd probably ask $200. No rust. Frame is straight. The hood has two dents on either side of the Roundel. There is a dent and scratches near the right rear rocker panel. | | | 08-18-2020, 10:03 PM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2014 Location: NC Posts: 21 | Do you mind listing your # since we can't PM you? I'm in the area and interested. Interested in the shell. | | | 02-20-2023, 05:17 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2020 Location: Rock Hill, SC Posts: 4 | The shell is no longer available. A fellow Ti enthusiast picked it up to replace his rusty chassis. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
