They go up and down with a lot of help from me pulling on them, but one of these days they'll probably just get stuck and stay stuck. Fixing them is on my (very) long list of things to do. __________________ 1995 318ti | Alpine White | M52 | 5MT 2004 330Ci | Black Sapphire | M54 | 6MT "Don't shift for me, save the Manuals!" | | | 12-14-2017, 05:00 PM | #306 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | As you watch the cloud of steam rising from your engine, you wish for smaller hands to change the #$%*@ plastic coolant elbow at the back of a M44... Next time I take the door panel off I'll do that. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-16-2017, 02:19 PM | #310 | Member Join Date: Jul 2017 Location: Chicago Area Posts: 40 | Quote: Originally Posted by FunElan I've done it too many times....let me know if you need help! | Thanks! | hahahahaha I LMAO when I read this one. So true. The thing grips the road like an Adidas shoe. Terrifies the fiancee. She's almost afraid of the BMW would rather go in the Jeep. Maybe because I showed her how to do a drifting turn in a stock 318ti. I just love how it feels to drive. Very responsive and grips the road with a lot of low end torque. | | | 12-31-2019, 08:54 AM | #312 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2019 Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada Posts: 24 | Quote: Originally Posted by blk96ti My ti doesn't close the windows either with my key. -When you get hurt at seeing other ti's in bad shape | Hell yeah. Mine is a rescue. Neglected left to sit for at least a few years with the window down because it broke. Some nutter just scrapped it and I snapped it up. Gonna take a while to bring it back to it's former glory but the thing still hauls a** | | | 12-31-2019, 09:22 AM | #313 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2019 Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada Posts: 24 | Quote: Originally Posted by DaedHead8 Hahaha, she knew how much I love my car, but then she moved in with me and really learned the depths of this obsession. After much ado, I told her to just give it up. No way I'm selling it. I could have made $4,000 on flipping it and I am keeping the damned thing. It's a bit of a project but the car isn't going anywhere. The next week she cleaned the car and put a rosary with a cross on the rearview mirror and told me, "Ok, fine. You have your dream car. I give up." Then I bought a Jeep for her. She's happy.
