The flares are a bit too wide, but some spacers will help with that. I think the fans look cool too, they are ancillary and only come on when the AC compressor switches on. The nose panel obscures them a bit when assembled but you can still see em to a certain degree | Picking up another hood should be easy though if you wanted to go that route. any junkyard or part-outs on craigslist should find you a ti hood or just any e36 sedan hood will work fine too. The rear will definitely need some spacers to match those flares. I was just looking at some of the older posts and two years ago you thought you were getting close to done lol, its been a long project. Congrats for sticking it out so far. __________________ ***328ti Build thread. *** Even more important: SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! I could go with another hood, but this particular hood has some crucial benefits that a stock one doesn't. Those vents in conjunction with the aluminum underpanel should allow for better airflow through the engine bay, which will hopefully aide in cooling. Also the 20 or so pounds it saves as well as the battery relocation helps offset the added weight of the cooling system.....it was also super freaking expensive so I really can't not use it __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term | | | 11-26-2014, 09:27 AM | #543 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2011 Location: SoCal Posts: 702 | Quote: Originally Posted by Crashaddict Haha, I thought this would just be a fun little summer project....like 3 summers ago. Well since currently it does its functional job, making it look pretty - or painting it, doesn't seem like much of a priority, finish up what needs to be done, have it all together and then maybe see if you want to get it painted to match the rest. Ohhh and once everything is in place, get it on the scales to see how much it weighs- and F:R weight percentages, those would be interesting to see. I guess if you got it corner balanced they would show you all that info. Its crazy to see how a "fun little summer project" has evolved. __________________ ***328ti Build thread. *** Even more important: SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! Suede headliner and A pillars as well as suede inserts on the door panels and the rear interior panels. The Vaders are also swathed in brand new cowskin and the whole car smells delightful because of it also finally drilled out the hood and put a roundel in, i was terrified, but it went well. bonus pic __________________ Eurotary 313ti-Rx coming soon.....soon is a relative term | | | 08-16-2015, 06:08 AM | #549 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Fl Posts: 1,353 | Nicely done. The rear flares look great with the transition to the bumper! __________________ Check out Undr8d Empire on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Undr8dEmpireLlc INSTAGRAM: @UNDR8D_EMPIRE Scarlet V2 - #Project333Ti by @castromotorsport, @kingsautobodyshop, @bimmerheads, @hardmotorsport, @excel_motorsports & @mateomotorsports | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
