Default 328ti M52B28 single vanos engine rebuild.

Hi there all,

I would just like to share my rebuid for my 328ti M52B28, Cylinders were down on pressure. The engine has been chemicaly dipped and external parts, I then Honed the cylinder bores. I have used Genuine BMW parts for the engine i purchased full engine gasket set including head, New mains, Big ends and Rings, Head was hot pressure tested and skimmed 5 thou. Over the last two weeks i have sprayed some of the engine parts, Sump, rocker, oil filter housing, thermostat housing and so on, I will be adding some pictures over the next couple of days.

running an engine undersquare isnt the strategy I would go with. You can achieve more reliability by increasing bore size and shortening the stroke. Most all the bad ass motors were over square, 426's, 502's, 572, 440 super commando, boss 302, 351 cleveland, Ford's super cobra jet. I could go on but you get the point..
