It basically helped calm the car down at high speeds....it was very twitchy on high speed straights when I had the stock mounts on there. | | | 05-26-2008, 12:47 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Hmmm, Twitchy? I have the same setup. It feels like the car is getting light at high speeds. Can I dial in more caster with an alignment? __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 05-26-2008, 10:51 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Mi Posts: 37 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti Hmmm, Twitchy? You can only adjust front toe on our cars. Your only choice is to swap top mounts or get offset lower bushing. I had the offset treehouse control arm bushings and with these 95m3 top mounts. That gave me a total caster of 7 degrees. The car is perfectly calm and controllable at over 100mph with that much caster. Although that much caster does cause a little more steering effort. Price drop to $400!!!! | | | 05-27-2008, 02:32 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | Bump, Great price but I dont have the money. I've had quite a few people ask about the mileage on the shocks. I don't know the mileage. I bought the car with this suspension on it. I've put 10,000 miles on them. They work great and have no leaks. Koni's are rebuildable too. So, if you ever do have a leak, you can have then rebuilt and custom valved at the same time. Someone has to want these!!!! | | | 06-01-2008, 04:45 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Not bad, I'll talk to Dad about it. | | | 06-01-2008, 08:27 PM | #14 | Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: charleston Posts: 67 | im interested in rear shocks ONLY. so if anybody needs the other parts, i will take them. | | | 06-01-2008, 11:57 PM | #15 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Perfect, I'll take the springs. That'll leave just the front shocks and mounts. Anyone else? __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
