The Style 27?? 10 spoke 15" wheel that came on the Sport should be really inexpensive, < $125. The wheels can have minor curb rash no rim dents. I posted a request for wheels earlier, but this is more serious now as the >50% tread depth 195/60x15 tires on it are lumpy and they hydroplane alarmingly. I know people don't like to ship wheels so I can pick up wheels in some NW Washington, SW British Columbia areas. She recently discovered the Style 30 16" and prefers them by far, over the alloy 15s, but this is to be an inexpensive upgrade, she doesn't have enough money. The Style 30 wheels frequently sell for under $200+shipping on eBay. Mounting and dismounting tires is undesireable, so it would be nice to find wheels soon. The M-Tec style 18 wheels in 16" will work too. PM me if you have something. | | | 10-02-2007, 12:15 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | i have a set of stockies , style 27s but they have tires on them with about 70% thread left and i have a set of style 45s or the 03 3 series rims with brand new tires on them about 98% left __________________ Live Everyday As If Its Your Last A friend is someone who is willing to step into a flame to save you........aka a 318ti | | | 10-02-2007, 03:57 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: White Rock, BC, Canada Posts: 28 | A slight revision to this ad. Really good tires are fine but no point shipping tires that are as bad as the ones on it and much to my surprise Style 45s are another favorite. Definitely not my favorite, but it's not my car. | | | 10-29-2007, 08:08 PM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: White Rock, BC, Canada Posts: 28 | Picked up new wheels and tires last Thursday. Thanks Garik, they look new and the car tracks better and overall much better even to its novice driver. The car got a mix of weather to drive in from dry to pouring rain for over 150 miles. Now we need to shop for a 3.45 LSD and Sport Springs and Shocks, but that'll be a little later. | | | 10-29-2007, 08:32 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: Southern California - Orange county Posts: 978 | grats __________________ 1995 318ti Cosmos Black Bilsteins w/ H&R Sport, Depos w/ angeleyes and HID 5K, 50% short throw kit, Custom fogged intake, AC schnitzer pedels w/ deadpedels, leather stickshift knob, vitesse tuning Ebreak boot w/ shift boot, X-Brace, 325/328 brake upgrade, Gray millpoint leather and cloth interior, custom computer multimedia system, and Style 5 BBS 17" rims, M3 Mirrors, CF Hood | | | 10-29-2007, 10:20 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: G-dale, California Posts: 1,698 | looks good! much better on black then on my color. glad to hear you looked the tires...ya it will look much better with a little drop. __________________ Live Everyday As If Its Your Last A friend is someone who is willing to step into a flame to save you........aka a 318ti | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
