Hi guys, new to the forum and new to wheel fitments. I found a good deal on some nice bbs rims but have no idea if they will fit my ti. Can someone tell me if they do? The wheel size is 18x8.5 et10 all 4 wheels. Would I have to make any modifications? Thanks in advance! | | | 12-14-2011, 10:44 PM | #2 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | et 10? ROFL no you will need to run with them without fenders all together :P | | | 12-14-2011, 11:32 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | without a serious fender roll and really stretched tires it's not going to fit | | | 12-14-2011, 11:45 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Lol, if you rolled your fenders with a sawzall they would fit nice. Seriously though, 18x8.5 wheels would want an offset around 40 to fit nicely. So an offset of 10 is moving the wheel more than an inch outward. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 12-19-2011, 06:19 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: so cal Posts: 44 | ~ we may never see that OP again. | | | 12-19-2011, 06:52 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: 323 Posts: 4 | Ok thanks guys. I never really understood how offset works. Now I know. Thanks! | | | 12-19-2011, 07:06 PM | #7 | Member Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: so cal Posts: 44 | just for reference: front space is the distance from the wheel mounting hub to near the front of the wheel,as some wheels vary. Stock: 7" et47 backspace 135.9mm/5.35". frontspace 41.9mm/1.65" E39: 8" et20 backspace 121.6mm/4.79". frontspace 81.6mm/3.2" Yours 8.5" et10 backspace:117.95mm/4.64", Frontspace: 97.95mm/3.86" with the Style 5 set ups out there i think this wheel would poke out around .75" and clear coilovers and bags. just a guess though. | | | 12-19-2011, 07:09 PM | #8 | Junior Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: 323 Posts: 4 | Cool thanks niteop | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
