Default cf hood?

I've got some dings in my hood, I was thinking about getting a new one instead of having it repaired. I'm wondering how a cf hood would look on my black car. Anyone seen one? Have any pics?

Note, composite hoods that aren't painted will usually break down and
get dingy because the UV from the sun breaks down the resin.

I think it would look cool but wonder about the life of the hood...

i thought about this, and think the subtlety would look really trick. on a coloured car where it sticks out; too rice.

i know a lot of guys that will clear their CF panels since it introduces UV filters. you kind of have to do it every 3 years or so IIRC, but yes, otherwise the resin will turn yellow.

Thats what put me off of going for the cf hood as well. Plus, if you want a proper cf hood, as opposed to a fiberglass hood with a cf overlay, that offers oem fitment, you need to look at spending some extra $$.

I like how CF looks on cars. Unpainted it looks great on alpine, hellrot, avus, and dakar. On a black car, I wouldn't really worry about painting it, because you would not be able to notice the difference until you get close up to the car.
