Default WTB: antenna assembly

picked up an e30 vert, antennas shot, thinking about using one from a ti, i need the base, the rod, the bracket and preferably the connections that go into it, so its probably best if your parting out a car and can cut the wires.
thanks

The TI antenna has a integrated amplifier that may be a issue? Aftermarket deck installers in the TI toss the antenna.

Don't know if you knew that or not...

yeah, i knew they had built in amps, the e30s do too, so thats why i want the wiring with the antenna, so i can make an adapter to plug into the harness on the e30.

and i didnt know they threw them away on the tis?
i know when i put my radio in the reception was nothing until i put an antenna back in, and i know alot of people still have them

Most stereo shops are too stupid to integrate the unit with a aftermarket head so they pop a universal antenna in and ditch the powered unit.

Same here! Although I seldom pull a stock unit for my own cars anymore, got tired of worrying about theft vandalism etc...

There is nothing special about our antennas, you just need the correct adapter. Most places probably don't use it because a lot of newer head units have an integrated antenna and they couldn't be bothered to track down the e36 to modern head unit adapter.

Unless you have some retractable antenna or special setup, your antenna is just a normal one.

The AMP is a little weird, it has a different connector and a need for a power feed that baffles the typical stereo shop gorilla.

I agree its pretty basic, and if you get the crutchfield plug its got the correct connections...

Oh well.
