I found the website of a Ti w/ a V12, i'm sure everyone has seen it, but if you haven't here is the link. So I was thinking...what about a V8? It would be an M60B30 or B40 because of the year...so I wouldn't have to change to OBDII. Anyone know of anyone doing this? __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. I wouldn't go V12 though. __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. Yes you could put a V12 or a V8 in there but unless you have a corporate sized budget dont expect to go around corners anytime soon. Your gonna be stuck hanging around the strip with the mustang and camero boys. The "Go big or go home" philosophy doesnt work well here, a 6 cyl swap works, a V8 or V12 swap will just ruin the car. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 06-26-2008, 04:48 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Nashville, TN Posts: 699 | Quote: Originally Posted by roadrash What are you going to do about the hole in the bodywork?? | That's my next priority since it's gonna take a little while to save up to have that fixed and the whole car repainted Hellrot because the clear is slowly chipping off. I was reading a thread about a guy putting an M62 in a 318Ci (or iC, the vert) and they were putting up a big arguement on how there is no difference between weight and whatnot in a I6 and V8. __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. I want to do a swap...and I want to be different...but too many things have already been done and I REALLY don't want to risk fuel economy due to the rising and never falling prices...horsecock if I have ever seen it. I throw the flag on that one. __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. I would however worry about everything else and question the ecnomics of a V8 swap when the 6cyl swap is so well sorted in so many flavors. __________________ SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! Id personally still stick with the M44 or one of the 6 cyls. due to their tune-abiliy over a V8, I dont think there are as many parts out there for the V8s. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 06-27-2008, 06:29 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Austin Posts: 3,059 | Holy snap! 0-100mph in 4.6 seconds?! That could keep up with a hayabusa. Add nitrous and you could easily beat one. Would proabably drop the time from 4.6 seconds to 3 seconds, 0-100. Only problem is he would only be able to use it on the last gear. But it shows top speed is 300mph. Heyabusa is only 220. Man, this is just amazing. If I ever had the money, I would over pay just to get my hands on them. Then I would keep it in a deep under ground garage. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
