I remember first seeing “2001: a Space Odyssey” when it first came out in the theaters, it was awesome back then, and then the sequel “2010” was released on December 7th, 1984. Can you believe that, was it really that long ago? It sure doesn’t seem like it.

So if the movie “2010” were a car (since this is a car site
), it would need to be at least 25 years old to qualify to get those “Classic car” license plates we see all over town (you know those cars, they are the ones that stink
when you get behind them in traffic), so on December 7th, 2009, the movie “2010” officially became a classic, being of 25 years old.
Gee, let me think, didn’t something else happen on December 7th, 19?? “A date, which will live in infamy”? I wonder if they pick these dates to release movies to coincide with other dates in history?
