Default Where is the alarm module?

In a late 95 318ti (with the 3 button alarm FOB), I'm having trouble with my alarm, it does not respond sometimes so I want to remove the module and replace it, but I cant find it. Can anyone tell me where it is? I looked in the right side of the trunk and behind the glove box, but didnt see it. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

On my car, the alarm module was tucked and bolted to the back side of the crossbar behind the glovebox... found it with a mirror.

That is where mine was as well. There is a metal bar that runs behind the glove box. The airbag is mounted onto this bar.

On the front side of that bar there is a "knee bash pad", not sure what to really call it, but it is basically what looks like a flat piece of metal that is padded. The alarm module is bolted to the back side of that.

If you look up into the area behind the glove box on the passenger side you will see where all of the relays are, it is just in front of that area.

edit- just looked at those pics, they call it a knee bolster.
