I think the rims are for the European/Australian market only. They are nice, polished Aluminium and they are original from the factory because they were part of the Contour model.

Wouldn't the "updated 1.9L Z3 engine" be the M44 138HP engine therefore making it a 318ti?

No, Yes it is the same engine which is from the Z3 1.9L, but it is different since it is called the M43/TU engine and has 105HP compared to the M44 engine, which has the 138HP. In Australia, we had two model offerings, the 316i and the 318ti model ranges. They gave the 316i the less powerful engine since it was strictly the Luxury models and gave the 318ti the more powerful engine since it was the Sports model and because the engine was in the ///M Sports package for the 3 Series Compact, which was only available on the 318ti range in Australia.
