Default Where can I find U-Joints?

I am having a tough time finding u-joints to rebuild my driveshaft. I have a shop here that can rebuild it but they cant get the parts. Does anyone know where I can find them or will I have to go through BMW? Thanks in advance for any help that anyone may be able to offer!

Pretty sure the u joints are not sold separately. The stock u joints are staked in and meant to have the entire driveshaft replaced if they wear out.

There are shops out there who have converted BMW driveshafts to replaceable u joints but usually that is a custom job.

Bimmerworld sells replaceable u joint driveshafts, I think they get them from Beyer motor works. http://beyermotorworks.com/new/page,art,id,201.html

You can order direct from Beyer Driveline, but you will have to have it shipped to a shop, as Beyer does not sell retail outside of AZ. When I priced the DS from Beyer, I think it was about $550+ shipping for the ti shaft. Since I needed a quick turnaround, I ordered one from Driveshaft Specialist ( driveshaftspecialist.com ), got it in 2 days, $358 out the door. I haven't had any issues with it yet after about 4K miles but I wouldn't expect to, either. If it lasts over 100K miles, then I'll be happy.

After checking with my parts guy from BMW (has been doing it for over 30 years) he informed me they are impossible to find. He suggested I replace the driveshaft with a remanufacturd one. I went with driveshaft specialists from Texas and am now waiting for it to arrive. Will keep you posted as to how it turns out & if that will finally eliminate the knocking noise from the driveline. Thanks for the help & suggestions!
