Let me know! Thanks! | | | 02-27-2011, 09:26 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | You need a matching key for the Alarm module, the 1995 uses a removable chip... Thanks goodness my 95 does not have EWS just the alarm. Make sure you get both... With the 95 and older there is no "flash" for changing or syncing codes. I believe this may have even changed in the last month or so of the 95 model year as well. My car is a 10/95 prod date and it has several wierd little parts glitches that are form the 96/OBDII version cars. Seems like it used to be 180 bucks or so if you did a buy it now... I have one for my car and bought one for LazoH and I pulled the chip out of the remote, synchronized it with the module and now he has a working alarm. so if your sure you need a 3button then order one off ebay like I did for him. | | | 03-07-2011, 02:04 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2010 Location: Nj Posts: 120 | Quote: Originally Posted by eurohb you can use a 3button alarm DEPENDING if thats the one that goes to your alarm module. (I assume this means remote locking/unlocking but are the ones to start the car too?) But I do not know what functionality it had and don't know how it works so I don't know how or where to buy one and would not know what to look for when I was looking at one. Are any of the 1995 comments similar to facts about the 1998 model? how do I find out what month of 1998 my car is from? Any help? | | | 03-09-2011, 05:51 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Its on the door plate to find the car month and year of production. 1995 had one alarm everything after had another... Early was Alpine, later was Pioneer I think.... I don't think any TI's had remote start. Cheaper than two remotes from the dealer.
