If im very gentle with it i dont get the grind. I am told this is caused by the synchros being worn. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and what they did to solve it. I have found a used tranny with a warranty for a very reasonable price, but i am also looking into rebuilding my tranny... any info would be great. Part numbers, suppliers, costs involved. Get one out of wrecked car or I see the trans on ebay going for $50-200. good luck/// | | | 04-07-2005, 07:55 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Springfield, Va Posts: 164 | He says 2 different things. In the title he says its an m42, but in the description he says e30 1991. Dunno which one it is. | | | 04-07-2005, 08:07 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Theoretically both could be correct since there were M42 in e30 chassis....
