Default Coolant leaking what parts should I replace?

Okay so here is the problem. When I idle the car sometimes gets to 3/4th on the temp gauge, I have replaced the thermostat and the water pump recently, but I still get that problem every now and then. I searched the forum and I couldn't find a direct answer to my problem. Here is a picture of the leak it isn't even getting to the ground

I found that puddle when I was looking at my filter housing and trying to figure out where my small oil leak was coming from (i found a DIY on here to fix that) but my question is do you think its this piece that needs to be replaces (#1)

Or can it be some mysterious hose?? I don't know much about this. Just want to know if I can find out which part to replace before I tear this thing apart

Yeah, #1 can cause a leak to pool near the oil filter housing. If you are going in to replace that then just do everything. CirrusSR22 has a great writeup of the parts and process.

Make sure to buy a OE BMW part #1, the aftermarket versions are molded incorrectly and will likely leak again.

Thanks for the fast reply I plan on doing the small oil seals by the housing and the oil/filter change at the same time I guess I will be replacing that piece to while I am at it, I hope I don't have to tear the whole car apart to get to it
