Hey guys,
I will be doing the subframe bushings in my car along with a diff mount and (maybe) the rear trailing arm ones.
My question is: Has anyone ever tried to do this method of bushing removal:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...bushing-puller And if you did, did you have any issues removing the center aluminum shaft after pulling the subframe without knocking the threaded rod out? (I really don't want to have to knock it out, but I also don't want that aluminum sleeve breaking on me as it did on my E30 back in the day...)
As far as the diff is concerned, I think I'll machine a sleeve that has an ID of 3.35" and a depth of 1" with a thru hole and use some basic washer to press it out from the opposite end.
Many grattitudes in advance!
Cheers,
Artem
