Show up with cash and make an offer... This car has the power and handling of an M3 with the gas mileage and insurance of a 318is. Because thats what it is, a supercharged 1994 BMW 318is with too many mods to mention. I bought this car 2 years ago and have since put over $14,000 into it. The car came with over $12,000 worth of receipts. I have two folders for receipts. The list of mods/repairs is too numerous to mention but I will hit the big ones: *Downing Atlanta Supercharger kit (supercharger rebuilt 4 months ago) *Rebuilt Engine - ported and polished head, custom built by Ross Horton’s, less than 10k miles on it. *Transmission replaced three months ago with used getrag transmission with only 70k miles on it *Just replaced rear differential along with recent tune up, plugs, etc. *New M3 clutch plate, lightweight fly wheel. *New front end (carbon fiber hood, angel eye headlights, black grill inserts, grill panel, etc) *New cross drilled Zimmerman rotors, new bilstein shocks in the back, H&R springs all around, the list goes on and on. At this point the car runs and drives great, and looks pretty sharp. I am selling it because I ran up too much debt and need to pay some of it down, my loss is your gain. I would highly suggest coming to see this car and taking it for a drive, you will be very impressed. Again, I am flexible on the price if you have cash in hand. 503-810-7737 if you want to call, email works as well. All the gaskets and seals were replaced and everything was balanced and blueprinted to factory specs. If you want I will get you Ross's email and you can ask him specifics. If you are in the area I would suggest coming to take a look at the car in person. I can show you all the receipts. | | | 07-20-2007, 01:37 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | Even with a DASC I dought it can catch a M3, I love the car BTW good luck!! | | | 07-20-2007, 01:42 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: oregon Posts: 83 | ohhh so its not a complete rebuild | | | 07-20-2007, 04:56 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Pismo Beach, CA Posts: 500 | Not a complete rebuild. Not the power of an M3. M3 clone, with a rear apron thats non M3, IIRC. Too many mods to list, so you list 4. IF you have too many to list, how about trying to list more than 4? Too many to list = you listed all. Gl with the sale of a 318 for $7500 though... __________________ Joe, In San Luis Obispo E30-> '96 TI sport -> E30 -> '96 TI | | | 07-20-2007, 07:41 AM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Portland, Oregon Posts: 16 | All bits of the motor were gone through, it was a complete rebuild. The struts are a couple years old. Will get some interior pics up.. All rings and bearings were placed, new oil pump, timing chain and sprockets. I have all the old parts that were removed. No leaks at all. Motor was rebuilt because there was a thrown rod, previous owner put a rebuilt head in an old bottom end and the bottom end couldnt handle it. No front end collisions, title is clean. Supercharger was rebuilt afterwards, the nose pulley bearing was making noise. 140k miles on chassis, and it has been used for commuting most of its life, no autocross or anything like that. | | | 07-23-2007, 09:55 PM | #14 | Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: oregon Posts: 83 | hmmm, what was the determined cause for the thrown rod? lack of oil? there is no reason why it should throw a rod at only 140k | | | 07-23-2007, 10:16 PM | #15 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Portland, Oregon Posts: 16 | If you read up on it, putting a new head on an old bottom end increases stress on the bottom end. It is not recommended to put a new head on a bottom end with more than 100k on it, well the previous owner did not listen. | | | ![Closed Thread](http://www.318ti.org/forum/images/buttons/threadclosed.gif) | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
