I can't imagine it being too much extra work (if any). Especially compared to an engine swap. __________________ 1997 TI Sport, Silver | | | 08-01-2008, 04:38 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: philly Posts: 87 | thanks for the feed back I thought since i have a donor car it would be easy but wasn't sure. Also I am swapping the trans. the ti is auto and the 325i is manual. Hopefully that isn't to hard to swing. Luckily I have access to some metal cutting and welding tools if need be | | | 08-01-2008, 05:10 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: Malvern, PA Posts: 373 | good luck with it. this thread may be nice to have: http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthrea...light=obd+swap and this talks about the auto to manual conversion: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...ad.php?t=79886 Just glancing over it, it seems like since you already have all the parts there won't be any real issues. I would probably do all the maintenance stuff while i'm in there though (new clutch, shift bushings, blah blah blah..) __________________ 1997 TI Sport, Silver | | | 08-04-2008, 02:28 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | I have all the info on OBDII to OBDI conversion for an m50 into a post 95 ti. The auto to manual swap isnt hard and doesnt require any welding. Check out Phamsters build thread and my build thread for your complete guide to building your 325ti. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
