Simple as that.... There is no bypass on sensors or computers to have interchangeable electronics. You are better off just doing the swap with a same year or newer engine. __________________ 2LT Rodriguez CA ARNG TURBO 96' Sport, Alaska Blue, Auto Custom JohnBoy Turbo, Midnight-Tunning Software, HKS BOV, e-Pod Gauge Pod, BavAuto Springs, Bilstein Sport, e30 3.73 LSD, Depo P36, Apexcone 55w HID, OEM Spoiler, M3 Lip, M3 Mesh Grill, Crossdrilled Rear Rotors, M3 Front Brakes, Sparco 3 point Harness, Euro M3 Wheel, K&N cone, Clear Corner/Sides/Tails, M3 Center Console & Arm-rest, M3 Red Cluster Needles, M3 Mirrors & Side Skirts, RD Exhaust, DS-1 wheels!... | | | 08-14-2009, 12:05 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Ive done it and did a write up about it on BF.c. All you need is the engine, red-label DME or just cut the EWS wire, which happens anyways, and some very light wiring work and youre done. Ive done this swap on two OBDII cars with OBDI engines, an OBDI car with OBDI engine, and now doing an OBDII BMW chassis with OBDII Corvette engine. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1163337 Its only available on bf.c because the mods here have issues with it. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 08-18-2009, 08:03 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: FL Panhandle Posts: 5 | My 1996 Ti has a 325is motor, does that mean that it is an older engine? | | | 08-19-2009, 01:21 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | yes, they made the 325 until 1995, then they switched to the 323 and 328 | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
