Default Factory Alarm Remote Options

My 1995 ti has the factory alarm. I've had the car for 4.5 years and never used it until today. I found the remote in the glovebox (3 button) and was surprised that the thing still works. The remote is cracked, so there' no keyring attachment on it. Ideally I'd like to get a key with the buttons on it. Anyone know if I can get one off ebay and pair it to my car? I have an aftermarket chip in the ECU with EWS delete.

Also, I'd be curious to know about the overall function of the system.. so far it looks like it's pretty basic with just lock/unlock, arm and panic. I disconnected the siren since I hate chirpy cars, and it didn't fit with my new euro lights in. Does it do anything else?

Woop, nevermind. Read up some more and the 95 and older systems have a chip in the remote that would make it impossible to adapt a remote from a different system.

I may know where you can get a set of matching chips (one for the remote and one for the controller) if they are the same as what's on an E31.
