I also have a e36 328i as a donor car, I have been told I will face difficulty with the ews because apparently mine has ews3. Is this true? Many thanks Steve | | | 07-16-2012, 04:08 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Years of both cars would help.... Posts: 3,156 | The UK likes to go by reg date rather than the build tag in the door jam, so he noted 2000 plates, which often (but not always) is the model year of the car. Please check the door jam as we both know some cars sit a while before getting their plates. it will show month and year, and also model series (E36/5 or E46/5). If you have an E46 ti, yes, you have EWS-III and it will have to be bypassed (and I don't know exactly how to bypass EWS-III yet). Late E36 cars could go either way, sort of like the 1996 cars which seem to be the typical problem for us swap guys... | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
