Default What Can I Do To An Automatic Sport

Okay, so last night I went to the SoCal mini meet, although there was only 3 of us and 2 cars. It was chill. But as I asked some questions, I ran into the delemma of wondering what I can do to an automatic Ti. Like i want to do some engine modifications without actually changing the transmission as suggested (to much work and money).
So can anyone tell me what I can do to my engine? So far I've put in a CAI. Next I was thinking of the engine software (I have a 7/97). example: Can I add a 5psi pulley? or something. whatever you guys think or know what i can do, let me know. Thanks.

What do you propose you would hook up to the 5psi pulley? Or rather, what would you put it on? You need a supercharger for that.. If you already have a supercharger there is not much more you can do other than the TT staged kits. Not sure if he has kits for automatic cars or not. Dinan used to have an automatic transmission ECU and transmission upgrade. You can do just about as much to the car as anybody else. The automatic transmissions just limits how effective those upgrades are.

The best you can do is convert it to manual

I dont have a SC. I was just asking hypothetically what I can do to my automatic cuz i was stumped how I can go about upgrading the engine.
I would like to convert to manual, but it just seems to much work and labor and it'll be hard to find a good transmission. but ill take that into consideration.
should i just get the engine software and exhaust? or is there something else i can add to that?

Software and exhaust will give you very little to the point that you'd barely notice it at all (minus the exhaust note). For the amount of money you'd spend, you'll barely get any hp.

Plus, its still an auto. Won't have too much fun with it.

To me the chip and exhaust are not about getting more maximum horsepower. It is about moving the power curve down a little bit and allowing the engine to rev faster. Anything that adds a considerable amount of power will cost money and time. There are no cheap solutions to get more power out of a 4 cylinder.
