Many have done OBD1 conversion on the 1996 to 1999 M3 Engines for more power which also works with the 1995 chassis better than a OBD2 from a simplicity standpoint. do a LOT of searching on here, the E30 forums and look up "project Orca" for lots of details that add up to the full story.
