Is it a steady repetitive sound or is it sort of random sounding? | | | 11-09-2007, 03:52 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Israel Posts: 4 | sort of random sounding | | | 11-09-2007, 04:38 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | In that case, I'm stumped, sorry. | | | 11-09-2007, 08:02 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Pittsburgh, PA Posts: 1,224 | Hi, I've actually had the same problem. It usually goes away when I put a lot of weight in the rear or go over a large bump very quickly. My friends and I have diagnosed it to something loose at the rear shock mounts. However, beyond that I'm not sure. I've not bothered to try to really figure it out since I know exactly how to make it go away (take the route home that crosses that bumpy road) and it happens very rarely (only about 3-4 times) and for a very short period (no more than a day before it goes away). | | | 11-10-2007, 09:09 AM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Nov 2007 Location: Israel Posts: 4 | sorry , but i wana solve the problem by replacing parts , il try to check rear shock mounts ... | | | 11-10-2007, 01:33 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Ferndale, MD Posts: 462 | Sounds weird but how tight are the RSM bolts? I had a similar problem with an old car of mine, and it just so happened a few weeks prior to the noise I had put in a rear strut bar. Even though we retightened all of the bolts, two of the three on the drivers side had started to loosen a little. I know the rear suspension on that car was double a arms and this is trailing arm, but it might be worth a shot. Just tighten down on those bolts and if the noise goes away, apply some loctite | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
