Just annoying. After three years of owning the car and not having any body issues, accidents, or the like, I'm pulling out of my driveway in my NY house and the front right edge of my bumper got hung up on a support holding up the edge of my drive way (one side of my drive way is raised to accommodate the slope it's on). I hear a awful tearing sound and get out to inspect any damage and the front bumper has been torn off on one side. The right fog light had been popped out, which isn't a big deal...just giving you all an idea as to what's happened. I was extremely surprised to see this...seeing as I was barely moving at all. Anyways, I'm just looking for someone to point me in the direction of how to remove the front bumper so that I can fully assess the damage...and see if I can re-attach it on my own. I haven't gotten to look much at it because it's snowing heavily outside and I've been in and out of classes (this happened at around 10pm last night). The same goes for as to why I haven't snapped any photos yet. I'd do the usual scouring of the forum to find my answers but I've got limited time today to look and I need to use my car for an editorial photo assignment that's due in the near future! Help 318ti.org, you're my only hope. Thanks in advance. A few bolts under the black strip was all there was to it as I recall. __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 01-28-2010, 12:22 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: Georgia Posts: 148 | Quote: Originally Posted by b.u.ti-ful I seem to remember taking off the front bumper was really easy. The bumper liner is held onto the metal bumper support with plastic expanding pins (About a dozen or so. They can be easily removed by pushing the center pin thru the expanding part). There is also the fog light wiring, brake air ducts and outside temp sensor (if equipped) to watch out for... All simple stuff... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion.
