Pull out the center, then pull out the entire bit. It will take some effort, since the plastic has been bent. You will probably need new ones to reinstall. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 12-19-2006, 03:24 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Saint Louis, MO Posts: 143 | use a drift punch and drive the center of the rivets (in the "bottom" of the panel) into the hatch, they'll sit there until you're ready to reinstall. Remove the two phillips screws that hide under the plastic caps. If the plastic side pieces that frame the window are firmly attached to the piece you want to remove then remove them first. (just unscrew the luggage cover attachments and pull gently out, the clips that hold it in will pop out without breaking if you're lucky) Then just gently start pulling from the side closest to the rear window, once again, the pushpins will pop out of their holes, and slide the trim panel over the real latch. Easy once you figure it out. good luck... -ian __________________ 1997 318ti sport 1972 2002 sleeper | | | 12-19-2006, 08:43 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: New Zealand Posts: 15 | Hey thanks very much for that Ian.
