I purchasd this trunk lip spoiler for 5.90$, customer service was good and a good price, so I said why not? It came in 4 days later, and it turns out it is a 25 cent pieace of rubber cut with an exacto knife and with tape on the bottom. Im sure the 3m tape will secure it fine, but will paint stick to this at all??? I had a 20 dollar credit to my paypal account, I couldnt cash it, I had to use it on ebay so I said why not. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...1491QQtcZphoto Also check out their rear valance, They claim it will fit on ALL E36'S!!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...5763QQtcZphoto I will try and load a picture of the spoiler in a few minutes.. | | | 12-12-2008, 01:51 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | the spoilers not bad, that valance won't fit a ti though | | | 12-12-2008, 02:09 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: North Carolina Posts: 190 | but will paint stick to it? Will prime, base coat, clear coat be enough, or will it rub off since its so rubbery. | | | 12-12-2008, 02:32 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | I'm thinking it would be, but you might have to get a special paint for rubber, ask a bodyshop | | | 12-12-2008, 02:34 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | That's pretty sweet I have been looking for something just like that. Lame that shipping is $20 though. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 12-12-2008, 03:15 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2008 Location: South Central, MN Posts: 1,065 | I saw that ad. Would have been an ok deal if they charged their customers the 5-8 dollars it actually cost to ship that to you. Wait...an ok deal? Likely not. They probably pay $2 a yard for that stuff. I hope it works out for you. Post up pics after you get it installed. __________________ | | | 12-12-2008, 03:34 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2008 Location: North Carolina Posts: 190 | I will be ordering a DDM front m3 bumper in a week or so, and I will have my friend paint the lip while he paints the bumper.(hes a body shop owner) The cars black so I'm sure even if the paint turned out bad on the lip it wouldn't be too noticeable. Anyone know of any good deals on a rear bumper or upgrade that fits the ti? | | | 12-12-2008, 10:20 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | I just found this lip spoiler on ECS tunings site. Looks pretty much identical except for the price...they want $72 for it. lol. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
