Default 318ti from So Cal

MY 318 ti is a sport model, from what I can tell. I found all of the specs listed in ALLDATA.

I am a current UTI (Universal Technical Institute) Student, who is on the way to the BMW program. I have had three BMWs, two of which I still own. I had a 1986 325e that I drove for about a year. And the two I still own are obviously, the 1995 318ti, and a 1981 633csi.

One of the reasons I came here was because it looked like a good repository of info about the 318ti. I am actually trying to figure out if I can swap my VAF (Vane Air Flow meter) out for a MAF(Mass Air Flow) type system. I'm looking forward to picking the brains of the users here that know a hell of a lot more than I do about the 318ti.

I thought we had MAF's? Or are '95's different?

'95s have an Air Flow Meter(AFM) while '96 and newer have a Mass Air Flow Sensor(MAF).
