Default Car isn't running..-Vid inside-

Hey guys, my car isn't wanting to start..hah

The fuel pump was faulty so I just replaced that, but it's still not starting.

Here's a video of what it's doing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csR6gUiZ7AY

Just watch the first 16 seconds.

Would this be because of the crankshaft and/or camshaft sensors?

Yes it could be a faulty crankshaft sensor. Do you have fuel pressure? Do you have spark? You can check spark by removing a spark plug wire and plugging in a spark plug at night ground the tip and crank it over and look for a blue spark.

Let us know?

Thanks, John Smith

I honestly have not checked for fuel pressure yet; do I just buy a gauge for that?

Alright, I'll definitely check for spark as well..I was planning on it but I forgot how. :/

So what you're saying is remove a spark plug wire, remove a spark plug from it's chamber, and putting it into the removed spark plug wire and let the tip touch a ground and then crank it?

I would leave the spark plug in the chamber and use a old spark plug. Plug it into the spark plug wire and ground it then crank it over. You can remove a spark plug but that will allow dirt to get in the combustion chamber when you crank it over and sometimes will throw the bendix out of the flywheel while your trying to do the test.

To test for fuel pressure crank the car over then find the pressure port on the fuel injector rail. It should have a metal cap on it like a tire air fill cap. With small screw driver push the schrader valve in (same as a tire fill valve) and fuel should shoot out. ***Be carefull to not get it in your eyes***. Maybe hold a rag to catch the fuel and make sure you clean up all fuel.

It is best to do the fuel pressure test on a cold car and make sure you have a way to put out a fire if one starts. Do the spark test before the fuel pressure test so you don't ignite any fuel with your spark test

I'll try that asap. No worries about a warm car because it won't even start. :[
I'll let you know what happens!
thanks a lot

I checked fuel pressure just now by doing what you suggested and it sprayed out some fuel. I won't be able to check for spark until later on since it'll be a little darker and no one can help me until then. hah

Edit: Instead of triple posting, I just checked for spark. I'm getting spark to every spark plug. Hmmmm

I really feel like it's just the camshaft and/or crankshaft sensors..I feel like taking the dive and buying both and replacing them and hope that my car will run afterwards.

But I'd like to get some more opinions before I go out and do that.
Any thoughts guys?
