The E90 M3 (manual) was Ford's benchmark for performance when they sorted the 2012's out. For the price it is hard to beat. This particular Mustang is equipped with the optional 4 piston front Brembos and the owner upgraded the rear shocks to Koni single adjustables. He also has a full coil over set up on the way from Ground Control... so unless I make a major change to the wagon soon future videos will not likely have the same outcome. __________________ SUPPORT 318ti.org! The new mustangs are definitely great cars for the money. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 01-17-2012, 05:21 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: Potomac Falls VA DMV Posts: 1,794 | I will give them that. I have nothing against Mustangs other than the fact they are as common as a Honda Civic. Seems you cant go 5 feet with out seeing one. I just like the fact he has to tell people he lost to a wagon! | | | 01-19-2012, 11:40 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | They are in different classes. ESP is supposed to be slower than DSP right? It is still cool though. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 01-20-2012, 12:24 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Fl Posts: 1,353 | Quote: Originally Posted by spidertri They are in different classes. I suppose in theory ESP is supposed to be slower than DSP but there are many factors involved such as track layout. Also for 2 cars not outfitted to the limits of the rules for their respective classes (or in my case not the best car choice for DSP) classing looses relevance. The owner of the Mustang and I are good friends so having 2 very different cars that are so close is really a lot of fun. Generally we are within a tenth of each other. __________________ SUPPORT 318ti.org! CLICK THE LINK ABOVE! As a former mustang owner, I'm glad ford finally figured out that they need to make the cars turn. I always like beating up on everyone with a wagon. Whether it is my mazda Protege5 or my Country Squire. Can't beat up on anyone in my damn ti....Except for Spider :P That will probably change this year though. __________________ No more ti. | | | 01-20-2012, 01:47 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | That's very true about the classing. I was just thinking about it in basic terms. Much more comes into it than where the organizers decided to class a car. Yeah yeah, you beat me, calm down over there. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 01-20-2012, 01:58 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Quote: Originally Posted by spidertri That's very true about the classing. Basically, Pax is an SCCA handicapping system based on national level results. The higher the value, the faster the class has been at national events. Y'all probably know that already though. __________________ Last edited by Entropyman; 01-25-2012 at 12:51 AM.
