Default sunvisors ti specific?

does anyone know if the sun visors are ti specific? i just checked real oem, and they don't make them anymore apparently, so i can't order some black ones to replace my gray ones. will some from a normal e36 fit? i found some on ebay that are from e36 coups/sedans. i know the ones from e36 convertible do not fit.

thanks,
john

I hope they're not. I sold mine because one of the mirrors was broke and I had a set out of my wrecked M3 coupe. They've been sitting on the dash the whole time my car has been undergoing the swap. I'm gonna go out right now and see if they'll bolt up. I'll report back in a few minutes.

whew! You had me worried there for a second. Yeah they fit. My car is a '97 and the sun visors are out of a '98 M3 coupe. I can't find the screws(they're in a box somewhere) but I held it in place and the holes lined up. The electrical connector plugged right in and the clip for the visor lined up perfectly. I noticed that they do fit snug and barely touch the hump on the headliner by the sunroof motor, but I can't remember if the originals touched or not. Here's a few pics:

Cool. The e36 coupe visors fit just fine. As far as I can tell, they look/fit identical to the ones I removed.
