I'm really burned out trying to get this thing reliable.
I've fixed a bunch of the typical things.
Valve cover gasket. Oil filter housing bushings.
Replaced missing door vapor barriers.
Replaced microfilter.
Replaced windshield cowling.

Car was running cold when I got it.
Replaced T-stat, hoses and radiator.

Idle was high.
Replaced ICV and every vacuum hose I could find. OK.
Replaced gas filter.

Warning lights weren't working in the cluster.
Replaced cluster.

Replaced hatch gasket and struts.
Interior is in good shape.
Body is good. A little rust.

The bad.
Headliner sagging. Naturally.
Bottom chassis is rusted.
No cat.
Exhaust may need to be replace.

Small water leak in hatch. Improved since I got it.
Needs rear subframe bushings and I'm sure could use bushings through out.

Now it's stalling.

If someone wanted it for $3000, I'd sell it. Otherwise I'll tinker some more with it. I don't have the money to bring it to a shop and I'm not going to give it away. Besides, no one really wants to work on old cars around me. Funny, I'm 25 minutes from BMW Manufacturing.
