not sure how much help this is but all of the CD's i burn for work have to be the silver coated ones. the blue and green coloured ones wont work in any of our machines. especially the older ones. its to to with refraction of the laser through the coloured portion of the disk.
i use Fuji Audio CD-R 80's __________________
