Finally got my good trailer! In case you're wondering, 790 lbs. pulls VERY easily with the 318ti. You barely feel it. First gear is very low, so that helps a lot. You maybe are "on the clutch" for an extra second from a dead-stop. I doubt there's any significant clutch wear from towing these weights, especially when towing will be a once-a-month occasion at most.

I haven't been able to get an empty tounge weight on the trailer, but it's probably in the 70-80 lbs range. I can lift the tounge with one arm without much struggle

The rubber torsion axle on this rides amazingly smooth. Way better than the leaf-sprung open trailers I've pulled in the past.

I picked up a 200+ lbs two-stage snowblower right after I got the trailer. Rolled it right up the ramps I bought/made to go with the trailer. (http://products.armordeck.us/highland/ramparts/) Something you'd never get into an SUV without a big hassle
