My dads e46 323i has a plastic cover under the car. This might be what they were talking about. It is basically to just scare you into not doing anything yourself to the car. I don't think that it helps in any other way. Honestly i hate working on his car cause every time I have to get under it I have to take it of and it is just a hassle. __________________
