im not 100% sure, but if u would have blown a fuse, i think the light turns on right away.. the light turns on when ASC is off, so if it wasnt working, i would suspepct the light to turn on right away. umm, i dont know a whole lot, but i would say, look for the fuse and make sure it isnt blown. its in your fuse box under your hood.. it shouldnt be hard to find, it should be labled asc, and have its own fuse. the next thing is to see if all the senors still work that read it (or other electronics like relays)..

start your car, then open the hood. turn the air control valve on the ASC-t vavle . the ASC is located right before your intake. it would be the small metal thing in between the filter box and the intake. it has a half moon black piece of plastic facing away from u with a pull wire wrapped around it (like your gas petal to motor would have) turn the knob a little (to much and your motor will start to stall, it restricts air flow) u just need to turn it a little to activate your ASC-T..(u dont needa worrie about turning it to much, just dont stall your motor, u wanna keep it running so u can check it later)

this should activate your ASC light.. jump into your car and see if the ASC light has turned on on your dash.. if it has, that means everything should be working for the most part.. i would imagine it is just the switch that turns it on/off.. like i said, when u see the ASC light, that means u have turned it off or there was a malfunction with it , so if there was any kind of malfunction, it would automatically turn on the light.. thats the best i got for u.. atleast its a start.. if u cant get the light to start, i would suggest getting a new switch, but it also could be a messed up relay.. but i am not sure. someone else would have to suggest something better if they know more then me.
